REVELL TANK TIGER II MODEL (RV3129)
Revell Tiger II Tank Model RV3129
Description:
The Tiger II, unofficially known as the King Tiger, developed in 1943, was produced by Henschel from 1944 onwards.
The King Tiger combines the requirements of protection through armor but also against enemy fire in an exemplary way.
Frontal armor up to 150 mm thick could not be penetrated by any of its opponents' integrated weapons.
The side armor is up to 80 mm thick. despite several massive Allied bombings of the Henschel production lines in Kassel, a total of 492 Tiger IIs - including prototypes and 50 vehicles equipped with Porsche turrets - were delivered to the troops.
However, not all cues reached the frontline units.
A large number of Tiger IIs were lost when they failed, as a result of their very heavy weight or simply because they ran out of fuel.
