Following suggestions from the Reichswaffenamt, Krupp began testing a new vehicle in February 1943 with an improved StuG-III superstructure and the new propulsion system of the Panzerkampfwage IV. In "World of Tanks", the Sturmgeschütz IV, built since December 1943, is a premium German Tier 5 main battle tank and was considered a great success.
