Crack your opponent's code in fewer rounds than it takes them to crack your own code

The rules of the game: the code creator lifts the slats on both sides of the code protection. Once this protection is lifted, the player can secretly place any four code pegs in the code area. The code creator can use any combination of colors, including using two or more nails of the same color. The code breaker places four colored code nails in the first row of holes, trying to guess the color variant and exact positions of the secret code. The code creator places the clue pegs in the holes on the first row as follows: one red clue peg for each code peg that is the right color and in the correct position; one white cue nail for each code nail that is the correct color but not in the correct position; no hint nail shows a color that is not used in the code.
